My name’s James Walden, I’ve been a trainer for 10+ years and still train many of the same people I started with. Why? Personal training is a unique opportunity for two people to connect over one common goal - your wellbeing.

Whether you have a chronic health condition which impacts your quality of life, or you simply got busy with life and forgot to take care of number 1; I bring a personal and pragmatic approach to scientifically backed training techniques.

As a life long learner I’ve studied with the National Academy of Sports Medicine, TRX, Dr Eric Cobb of Z Health, the Equinox Fitness Training Academy, and many more, to develop a well rounded education which I continue to invest in every year.

As a veteran of The Royal Navy I ended my military career as the lead behavioural trainer and performance coach. I use my skills as a coach first and foremost to ask the right questions, listen actively, and ensure you feel empowered every step of the way.

By training with me you will gain holistic support in every session. I’ll welcome you just as you are, and take a planned yet flexible approach to meet you where you’re at, here and now.

The length of our collaboration is totally flexible based on your needs. Ranging from one session to an ongoing relationship. We’ll find the right fit for you.

All sessions are one to one and completed online via Zoom giving you the flexibility to work with me from anywhere in the world and at a time that works for you.

Our time together is designed around where you are and what you want to focus on now. No preset pathways or cookie cutter programs; just you and your future in mind.

Why I Train Online.

When I started training, I was supporting the tech scene in the heart of San Francisco. My clients had meetings in different time zones, difficult deadlines, and needed self care badly! I made a commitment to them to do the session from the gym, office, park, car, or hotel room, in person or online.

We worked things out and they stayed consistent. I got better at training online, and before long I was known for it and began receiving referrals from other trainers who had clients looking for online training!

Because of this, I was well placed when Covid hit for all of my clients to go online. We all stayed together, completely uninterrupted throughout, which was essential for us all.

Since then I’ve kept most of my former clients and enjoy supporting new people, wherever you are in the world, from wherever I am In the world.
